The problem

What we walked into.

India's largest educational publisher had a digital footprint. A website, a video library, a handful of apps. But no single surface that a teacher, parent or student could meaningfully live inside. Teachers were stitching content together from four places. Parents were copying links into WhatsApp. Engagement was falling even as the catalogue was growing.

Our approach

What Safemode did.

  1. 01

Reorganised the content graph so that every piece of material (video, question set, workbook chapter) was addressable by curriculum, grade and language.

  2. 02

Built a single hub with three role-aware experiences: teacher lesson-planner, student learning path, parent progress view.

  3. 03

Instrumented the platform for behavioural analytics. Who drops off where, which content lands, which assessments predict real outcomes.

  4. 04

Shipped live-class scheduling, session recordings and an assessment engine that talks directly to the gradebook.

Outcome

What moved.

  • 1.5M+ students onboarded across 28 states inside the first academic year.

  • Engagement, defined as sessions per active student per week, roughly tripled against baseline.

  • The platform supports multilingual content delivery at curriculum-level granularity.

  • The publisher has a first-party data layer for the first time, and a live conversation with its classrooms.
